Summary of After

Meet Tessa, a young girl who's always been respectful and obedient. She heads off to college, excited about starting a fresh chapter in her life. Unveiling the Secrets: A Thrilling Journey into the Unknown

Tessa Young is a freshman in college, moving into her dorm room with her mom, Carol, and her boyfriend, Noah. While settling in, she meets her new roommate, Steph, and Steph’s girlfriend, Tristan. The next day, Tessa bumps into Steph’s friend, Hardin Scott, and they have a brief encounter. Then, Steph convinces Tessa to join a party where she meets more of Steph’s friends: Zed, Molly, and Jace. And guess who’s there? Hardin, making their second meeting.

At the party, they all play a game of truth or dare. Things get interesting when they find out that Tessa is a virgin. They dare her to kiss Hardin, but she refuses. Later, Hardin tries to kiss Tessa, but she turns him down and leaves.

The next day, Tessa runs into Landon, a classmate she met on her first day. He drops a bombshell: he and Hardin are going to be stepbrothers because their parents are getting married. After a class debate, Hardin approaches Tessa again and suggests they start over. He invites her to a nearby lake. While swimming, he kisses her and declares that they can’t just be friends.

Later on, they all go to a diner where Tessa promises to tell her boyfriend about the kiss. But Hardin tells her not to, explaining that he doesn’t do relationships. Tessa is disappointed. Surprise! Noah pays Tessa a visit, and they have a nice time together around a bonfire. But things get messy when Jace intentionally kisses Tessa during a game, making Hardin jealous. They end up in a physical fight.

While Noah sleeps in Tessa’s bed, she goes to check on Hardin, who’s destroyed the house in a drunken rage. She comforts him, and they share a kiss.

The next day, Tessa goes back to her dorm to find Noah, but he discovers her affair with Hardin and breaks up with her, leaving her heartbroken. Tessa and Hardin finally decide to give dating a shot. However, Tessa’s mom threatens to cut her off financially, thinking Hardin is a bad influence. Hardin finds an apartment for them to live together, and they attend his father’s wedding reception.

During the reception, Hardin opens up about his troubled past. His dad was an alcoholic who caused harm to his mom. Tessa comforts him, and they head back to their apartment where they make love for the first time.

But things take a turn when Tessa becomes suspicious of the text messages Hardin receives from Molly. When she confronts him, he brushes her off and leaves. Worried, Tessa goes searching for him and finds him at a diner with Molly, Zed, Steph, and Jace. Molly cruelly exposes Hardin’s true intentions, showing Tessa a video from the first party they attended. It turns out, Hardin pursued Tessa as a challenge, planning to make her fall in love with him before breaking her heart. Hardin tries to convince Tessa that his feelings changed, but she ends their relationship.

Heartbroken, Tessa returns home to reconcile with her mom and Noah, who both forgive her. In the following weeks, Tessa cuts ties with Steph and their group of friends. She interviews for an internship at Vance Publishing. As the semester ends, Tessa’s professor hands her an essay written by Hardin, confessing his love for her. Touched by his words, Tessa heads back to the lake to meet Hardin once more.

Oh boy, this film is an absolute masterpiece! It’s got everything you could ever want in a movie: mind-bending twists, non-stop action, steamy romance, and a touch of naughtiness. If you’re a movie geek or a fan of Jenny Gage, this is a must-watch. It’s definitely one of her best, if not THE best, films that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Now, I gotta tell ya, this film requires a couple of viewings to fully grasp its brilliance. But trust me, the more you understand it, the more you’ll fall in love with the concept and the movie itself. Gage really nailed every aspect of the college experience and brought it to life on the big screen. Every single thing the characters say about college and the whole experience is spot on. You’ll totally relate to it, especially when it comes to the romance part.

The cast in this film is absolutely phenomenal! Josephine Langford shines as Tessa, bringing the character to life and perfectly capturing her desperate search for some good lovin’. Same goes for Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Hardin, Pia Mia as Tristan, and the rest of the cast. They all deliver top-notch performances.

Let’s talk about the direction and cinematography, folks. It’s truly outstanding! And those sex scenes? Wow, they’ll blow your mind. Now, let’s get to the story. It’s unbelievable, in the best possible way! This movie is fiercely original. It’s hard to believe someone could come up with something so unique and intelligent. Seriously, it’s THE most intelligent movie of all time!

Listen up, folks. This movie is one of my all-time favorites, and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a must-watch for everyone!
